Ultramarine green is an historic pigment. A rarer version of the most commonly used Ultramarine blue, an early imitation of the semi-precious stone used to make genuine ultramarine blue. This particular colour was selected for its particular quality when stood off against silver. The beaten copper rim is plated in 3-micron silver.
